High Five for Friday

This is my first High Five for Friday which is hosted by Lauren@frommygreydeskblog.com!

My 5 favorite things of this week....

1} BIG ep. 5

Lots of fun stuff in this ep including a fake wedding photo shoot, a Kill Bill-esque scene with a Mom wielding a mop at her daughter for breaking off her engagement, & a surprising time jump! ...seriously can't wait to see how this drama unfolds ♥

2} My friend was on Bold & the Beautiful this week!

3} I found out one of my favorite movies is releasing a prequel!

4} Johnny Depp is SINGLE!!!!!!!!!

5} I REALLY needed this today @.@

Dinner Fave: Omurice!

Tonight we had one of our favorite foods for dinner...OMURICE

Omurice {オムライス, Omu-raisu} originated in Japan and it consists of an omelette made with chicken fried rice and ketchup on top. It is a VERY kid-friendly meal but it's really loved by all age groups.

Even though the home of Omurice is Japan, you will see it made all over Asia, especially in South Korea where Omurice {오무라이스, Oh-moo-rah-ee-seu} is served at many restaurants as well as at home. In fact, in one of my favorite Korean dramas, Rooftop Prince.... Omurice was very much a co-star ^^

Tonight I didn't make a step by step photo log but I will share some great sites where you can find the recipe to suit your tastes. I usually take a recipe and make it my own like most people do, so mine isn't exactly like these... but close to it. I will make sure to post my recipe in the future along with some prep photos!

Kdrama Wrap Up: Rooftop Prince

I have been watching the Korean Drama "Rooftop Prince" for the past couple of months and last night I watched the final episode -along with a nice big bowl of Spicy Tofu Soup & Cucumber Kimchi

I have to say that I was a bit apprehensive about watching this drama at first as I usually like more modern dramas....but this was a surprisingly wonderful mix of both period drama & modern. Only the first and last episodes take place in the Chosun Dynasty era and they really brought the story full circle.

This drama was really fun with some very emotional & dramatic moments as well. I laughed so hard & cried like a baby, but...it wouldn't be a kdrama otherwise! I got really attached to each character...the good & the bad, so I am really sorry to see it end. I think that this is the perfect drama for anyone, whether you are new or a seasoned kdrama viewer.
