DIY Site Word Bingo

Everyday I have scheduled learning activities I do with the twinkies as well as a craft activity. I am always looking for new activities so they don't get bored but we have a couple that we repeat throughout the week so they are able to remember them...one of those is Site Word Bingo! I saw this idea on Pinterest of course but at the time we could not find our printer cord (the movers packed the cords in one box & the printer in another o.O) so I had to make mine by hand. I will probably make a new one with some of the many great printables soon, but for now, the homemade one is working for us!

Memorial Weekend Adventure

This weekend (pre-bedrest!) we attended the Memorial Day Tribute to Wounded Warriors event in The Plains, VA. It was a super hot day but we doused ourselves in sunblock, took a ton of water, and made the best of it! The event was held at the gorgeous Great Meadow Event Center and there ended up being a bit of a breeze once we arrived so that made it more bearable. Our goal was to not only help out with the wounded warriors charity but let the kids have a fun time since we have been cooped up inside so much lately while I have been recovering. I think the highlight for them was the bouncy house...can you believe they have never been in one?

Bedrest Blogging & Jeff Buckley

Sorry I have been MIA! I am on bed rest after I had a minor setback over the weekend with my recovery...meanwhile, the kids are going stir crazy since my Hubs went back to work this morning. Any suggestions for things I can do with the kids while immobile or activities they can do with out me? I feel bad that they are kind of on their own today but I want to keep them busy! Watching a movie together in bed will only last for that 1 movie and then they need to be on the move...they are not tv kids and don't like to sit for too long. Any suggestions would be much appreciated and many THANKS in advance!

In the meantime I am keeping myself busy by lighting virtual candles in memory of someone who we lost 15 years ago today....the wonderful, amazingly beautiful...Jeff Buckley. He changed my life and the way I listen to music.
